Let's Hear it For The Boys... i heart faces

Let me introduce you to my nephew, Mash.  That's not his actual name, but for some reason that's what I always call him.  It's pronounced like Masha, but without the "a" at the end... not like I'm mashing potatoes! ;)

Anyway... this week's theme at i heart faces is "Let's hear it for the boys" and I just love this shot I captured while he was over for a playdate a few weeks ago.  It's so difficult to get this little one to stay put for more than a second, let alone look at a camera, so I think that's why I'm especially in love with this one. He was sitting on this bus-like structure at the playground and started laughing when I got on with my camera and started jumping to shake the bus.  I don't know that I'll ever get a better shot of him... and even if I do, this one will most likely always be my favorite!

P.S. Did you know that I'm looking forward to a new man coming into my life this summer?! My Sister is due in August (Here is the post with photos from the baby shower I threw for her)! I'm SO excited to meet him and soak up all of his newborn goodness!

Mason Turned One Yesterday!

Hold the phones... I'm One?!

Yesterday was Mason Man's very first birthday! Brandy threw him an awesome Elmo party at the Ranch last night so he could celebrate with all of his family and friends! Here are a few highlights... which may or may not revolve around a red wagon and Elmo cake!

First, the wagon, Mason's gift from his Grammie!

Mason's Grammie taking them for a wagon ride outside!

Dagny LOVED the wagon ride!

After the wagon ride, the older cousins played with Dagny and Mason in the wagon!

And the Elmo Cake... which Brandy made herself! This girl's got talent!

Elmo! Isn't it awesome?!

Mason tearing into his cake! It did take him a little while to get used to the fact that he was allowed to simply "dig in," but there was no stopping him once the sugar rush hit!

Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating the little man's 1st birthday! Here's a link to the rest of the photos on facebook:
