What to expect when you're expecting..... to fight 500,000 french soldiers ;)

"The two most powerful warriors are patience and time."

General Kutuzov said these words in a war council in Tolstoy's "War and Peace." The French had invaded the motherland beaten the Russian army, even burned Moscow to the ground, but they had not adequately prepared for the trials of a Siberian winter. They gorged themselves and raised any available shelter which could have protected them, making them vulnerable.

Kutuzov held the reins of his men and slowly started chipping away at the unstoppable French army. Bit by bit they beat them back and let the cold take it's course. As his highest advisors pressed him to finish off Napolean and the French, he chastized them with these wise words. He knew he had made the right decisions, that he had done all he could, and the only remaining task was to keep his men in check and stop them from making foolish decisions.

Well it may be a stretch of an analogy, it's always been a favorite quote of mine. We've suffered the torments of no methotrexate and a lack of meds. The pain of RA fighting against Rory's own body, but we finally got our chance to make a decision which will stay with us our whole lives. We did all we could in the time we had, now all we can do is wait. I will try and hold the reins (pregnancy tests ;) of my anxious soldier (Rory) till the time is truly right. There's nothing more we can do now but rely on our two best warriors, patience and time.
